The Church of God of The Firstborn
The Right Highway
While traveling on life's weary road, I find trials, tests, hills to climb, but I see a bright light that shines so clear and points me to the sign so near. Matthew 10:22 "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." I find myself middle on the way and see no place to stop for there are no side ways or alleys to park or places to hide on this highway of holiness.  This highway leads to life everlasting and there is no other way that leads to life everlasting but the highway of holiness.

Are you on that highway?  What road are you on?  If there is yet room
accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, obey the commandments of God then you are on that highway of holiness.
1st Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." If we are the children of God we will have to live a clean holy life in order to please God.  The Lord has promised us many good things, Praise his holy name!  But we will not receive those promises unless we obey his commandments.  Hebrews 10:36 "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." See we have to do his will first, then patiently wait to receive.  Some people think it is hard to obey God's commandments but the Lord says in Matthew 11:30 "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."  Again  in 1st John 5:3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."  Shall we not believe the whole word of God?

We have to believe all of the Word of God or we will get our reward with the unbelievers.  My what an awful thing it will be if we find ourselves cast out of God's presence just because we do not believe the whole Word of God.  If we keep all the commandments and fail in one we are guilty of them all.
James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."  Dear reader, I plead with you not to neglect to believe all the Bible and obey every bit of it for we will be a blessed person if we do.

Luke 12:40 "Be ye therefore ready also:  for the Son of Man cometh at an hour when ye think not."  Believing the Bible words, then if we know he comes when we are least aware, why not be ready?  How can we be ready if we don't know what he wants us to do?  How can we find out? by searching the scriptures.
Acts 17:11 "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

1st Peter 1:23 "Being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever."
We see then this born again experience does not take place in the flesh (or in the carnal realm), but by the word of God.  How?

1st John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We must believe that if we confess our sins before Jesus he forgives us those sins we have committed in our life.

We find in
2nd Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."  We must forsake all the ungodly deeds we have been doing and live a different life.  A new life Christ will give us and then we are on the highway of holiness.

If we continue to live like we did before we confessed our sins we are still on the broad road of destruction.  We have failed to believe that Jesus has cleansed us from all unrighteousness.  Jesus wants us to follow in his footsteps and we do not find any unrighteousness in him.
1st John 2:29 "If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him."

Then if we are found in almost every unrighteous deed, we are not free from sin neither have obeyed his word.  Romans 6:22 "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life."

As we can take a map and follow it's highways and it will lead us to our destination, so we must take the Bible and use it's words as a highway to lead us to all of God's precious promises some of which we can receive on Earth and in the end everlasting life in the paradise of God.
